Grafikkabinett Erich Steininger

In 2012, Erich Steininger founded the "Grafikkabinett Erich Steininger" in the former primary school in Kirchbach near Rappottenstein – an archive and exhibition space dedicated to his graphic art. Since his death, Steininger's works are presented annually in dialogue with pieces by other artists.

During his lifetime, the artist organised summer exhibitions featuring selected works in woodcut, etching, lithography, and drawing. Today, different aspects of his oeuvre are highlighted each season, and special exhibitions place his work alongside both established and emerging artist friends.

Offspace Woodquarter

Away from the Viennese metropolis, nestled in the beautiful natural and cultural landscape of the Waldviertel, the "offspace woodquarter" offers a project space for contemporary art – located, like the "Grafikkabinett Erich Steininger", within the same former primary school. It connects to the local region while equally engaging with national and international artistic positions.
